African Gray Male Parrot

Location: Sioux Falls, SD

African Gray parrot approximately 30 years old. Large vocaulary (some of it not so nice). Extremely smart, very funny. Loves men, but has liked some women. Loves bread and loves dunking it in his water before eating. Loves pizza crust, hamburgers, and peanut butter cookies. Loves to be sung the “Show Me The Way To Go Home” song from the original Jaws movie. Loves Golden Oldies music. Calvin will make any sound he heres, from the sound of a beer bottle being opened by a can opener, to the microwave going off, to the sound of the fire detector going off, to the cat meowing. He calls my husband to dinner every night, and calls the cat to come to his cage. Calvin is a party of one, who will sometime whoop it up in his cage when you hear out of the blue, “ WOOOOOOOO!” Calvin will tell you he's a good boy when looking for a treat, and will say, “Want some water?” if his water dish gets too low. But don't be surprised if you walk by his cage and he tells you either, “I smell sh...t!”, or tells you that you are on his “Sh...t list!” If Calvin hears a phone ring, he may respond with “Hello”. Or after you turn the lights off at night and leave the room, you might hear a quiet, “Hello?” In any event Calvin will keep you laughing and entertained. Calvin might be 30 years old, but he can live up to 80, according to an article in “The Spruce Pets”, August 6, 2019 https://www.thesprucepets.com/facts-about-african-grey-parrots-390715 . Which is why we are giving him up. My husband and I are moving into senior housing and Calvin is just too noisy for that environment. Plus, he will out live us. Calvin will come with his cage and all supplies. We are asking $800 for all. Believe me, that's a bargain.
